Aborting Children vs. Social Stigma

If you abort your baby to avoid the social stigma of being an unwed mother should you be forgiven? Yes, she should  be forgiven because we don't know the reasoning behind the choice she made. Luke 6:37 says "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." This states that you need to forgive people for what they do. That you need to forgive them to be forgiven. Colossians 3:13 says "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." When the young woman made that decision she had a lot on her mind. This verse states that we should bear with each other and forgive. We don't know her situation so she should at least get the chance to give her side of teh story, so we can try and forgive her.

  2. I agree with you, but what if you have to answer the question without using bible quotes. Some people may find it offending.

  3. Yes I do agree and disagree because I understand the idea of being scared of social stigma or being bullied but then again she could have had the child and give him or her up for adoption.

  4. I disagree, because there were many other options for the child. She could have given him up for adoption, or given him to someone in her family, who would have been happy to take care of the newborn. There are women out in the world, who are raising their children, without a man by their side, and it causes no problems.

  5. If we are going just by religon. Than we need to stone this girl. In my culture without a man you get death. This girl killed. There is no other definition than death. She paid a man/or woman to kill her baby when it would of been cheaper to just go to adobtion.

  6. I agree with your statement, because we don't know why she really aborted her baby.
